A Different Kind of Neurodivergent Support

Our Servcies

Our services are based in Raymond Terrace and are designed to feel safe, welcoming, and genuinely enjoyable to be in. Rather than clinical rooms, we offer a relaxed, clubhouse-style environment where individuals can move, rest, connect, or engage in ways that feel right for them.

Across our space, you’ll find a variety of thoughtfully designed rooms that support different sensory preferences and needs, quiet retreat areas, creative play spaces, social zones, and low-stimulation environments.

All sessions take place alongside neurodivergent peers, creating opportunities for authentic connection, shared understanding, and a genuine sense of belonging.

Every individual is supported one-to-one by a trained team member, ensuring that their regulation, communication, and engagement needs are understood and responded to in the moment.

What we Offer

We offer two complementary group-based pathways of support, both delivered in the presence of neurodivergent peers and grounded in neurodivergent-affirming, strengths-based, and relationship-led practice. We also offer individual psychology and social work support.

Services designed for all ages.

We believe that support shouldn't stop at a certain age and it shouldn't feel like it was built for someone else either. All of our services are available across the lifespan, with sessions thoughtfully grouped to ensure each person feels comfortable, understood, and supported by clinicians who genuinely get where they're at.

Our age groups include:

  • 🌱 Children

  • 🌿 Adolescents

  • 🌻 Young Adults

  • 🌳 Adults

Each group is supported in a way that honours where they are developmentally, socially, and emotionally because the experience of being a neurodivergent seven-year-old is quite different from that of a neurodivergent thirty-five-year-old, and both deserve support that truly fits.

Across every age group, our core values remain constant: autonomy, safety, and respect always!

Emotional and Social Connection Therapy

For children and teens seeking therapeutic support through a neurodivergent-friendly lens

Delivered by our allied health team.

This service focuses on supporting emotional development, regulation, and meaningful connection through therapeutic relationships.

Sessions are guided by qualified allied health professionals and are tailored to each individual’s unique profile, interests, and goals. Support is responsive and flexible, following the person’s cues while gently expanding capacity over time.

What this may look like:

  • Building awareness of emotions, body signals, and internal experiences

  • Developing regulation strategies through co-regulation and shared experiences

  • Supporting communication in all its forms

  • Exploring social connection in ways that feel safe and authentic

  • Strengthening identity, confidence, and self-understanding

Individualised, One-to-One Support

A key feature across both group services is the presence of dedicated one-to-one support for every participant.

This allows us to:

  • Respond immediately to regulation needs

  • Follow and honour communication and cues

  • Adjust the environment or activity in real time

  • Support safe engagement with others

  • Reduce overwhelm while increasing participation

This level of support ensures that each person can engage in a way that feels manageable, empowering, and meaningful.

Therapy is never compliance-based. Instead, it is built on trust, safety, and genuine connection.

Adults Program

Ages 18+ - Neuroaffirming Capacity Building

Life as a neurodivergent adult comes with its own set of joys, challenges, and questions and yet so much of the support available stops at the school gate. Our Adults Program is designed to change that.

We welcome neurodivergent adults of all ages, grouping participants by age and shared interests wherever possible to support genuine comfort and connection. These programs go beyond skill-building; they're a space to connect with neurokin, explore your identity safely, and develop real tools in a way that feels relevant, respectful, and led by you.

What We Offer

  • Social and community participation programs

  • Life and work readiness skills

  • Mentoring and identity exploration

  • Supported outings and community events

  • Emotional regulation strategies through interest-led and collaborative approaches

  • Support to build confidence, boundaries, and self-advocacy

  • Safe spaces to talk openly about burnout, masking, sensory overload, and recovery

How We Work

Our programs are co-regulatory, strengths-based, and always participant-led. Sessions follow your cues, honour your communication style, and expand capacity at a pace that feels right for you. Every individual receives dedicated one-to-one allied health support, allowing us to respond to regulation needs in real time, adjust the environment as needed, and support meaningful participation without overwhelm.

Therapy here is never compliance-based. It's built on trust, safety, and genuine relationships with yourself and with others who understand and accept you without judgement or expectation.

You don't have to earn your place here. You just have to show up.

A supported, community-focused experience

Our Social Inclusion Program provides opportunities for connection, belonging, and shared experiences in a low-pressure, supported environment.

Participants are invited to engage with others at their own pace, with no expectation to socialise in a particular way. One-to-one staff support ensures each person can participate in a way that feels comfortable and sustainable.

What this may look like:

  • Shared activities based on participant interests (e.g. creative projects, games, outings)

  • Practising social engagement in a natural, supported context

  • Building confidence in being around others

  • Developing self-advocacy and understanding personal boundaries

  • Experiencing a sense of belonging within a neurodivergent-affirming community

A key feature across both group services is the presence of dedicated one-to-one support for every participant.

This allows us to:

  • Respond immediately to regulation needs

  • Follow and honour communication and cues

  • Adjust the environment or activity in real time

  • Support safe engagement with others

  • Reduce overwhelm while increasing participation

This level of support ensures that each person can engage in a way that feels manageable, empowering, and meaningful.

This program prioritises connection over performance and inclusion over expectation.

Playful, creative, community and connection-based experiences during school holidays

Our Holiday Programs are specially designed for neurodivergent school-aged children who thrive best in safe, structured, and joyful environments. These sessions are all about fun, connection, and supported exploration, with every detail considered to help children feel secure, seen, and included.

Unlike typical school holiday care, our programs are interest-led, low-pressure, and neuroaffirming. We focus on creating memorable experiences in both our Nest space and out in the wider community, always with sensory needs and individual preferences in mind.

What’s Included:

Outings to community spaces like parks, nature reserves, museums, play centres, and local sensory-friendly venues

Creative and play-based sessions, including Gaming, science experiements, face painting, LEGO, messy play, fidget crafts, cooking, art, and music

Small group settings with consistent staff and flexible routines

1:1 support with experienced therapy assistants and therapists

Social experiences designed to support confidence, autonomy,
and joy

Activities adapted to honour different communication styles, energy levels, and sensory preferences

Whether your child prefers quiet craft or wild adventure, there's space for them to explore at their own pace and know they'll be supported every step of the way.

🧡 Our goal is to create meaningful, affirming experiences where neurodivergent individuals feel free to be themselves in a world that so often asks them to be something else.

📅 Holiday programs are offered during school breaks and typically run for 3 hours per session. Numbers are limited to keep groups calm, connected, and well-supported.

Individual Psychology & Social Work Sessions

Wherever you're starting from, we'll meet you there.

Sometimes the most meaningful growth happens one-on-one. We offer individual psychology and social work sessions for children, adolescents, young adults, and adults who would benefit from more personalised therapeutic support, whether that's working through something specific, building on strengths, or simply having a dedicated space to be heard.

Our one-to-one sessions are:

  • Tailored to the individual — your goals, your pace, your priorities. There's no one-size-fits-all approach here.

  • Flexible and complementary — sessions can be accessed alongside group-based services or as a standalone support, depending on what works best for you.

  • Focused on what matters most — including emotional wellbeing, self-regulation, identity, relationships, communication, and everyday functioning.

  • Grounded in our core values — every session reflects our neurodivergent-affirming, strengths-based, and relational approach. You'll never be asked to mask, conform, or fit a mould.

How It Works

Sessions are available for individuals across all ages and stages of life, from young children through to adults. They can be accessed as a standalone service or alongside our group-based programs, depending on what suits you best.

There's no pressure to arrive with a clear agenda or the "right" words. Our clinicians are experienced in working with people who've had difficult experiences in therapeutic settings before, and we take pride in building relationships that feel safe, genuine, and free of judgement in a setting that feels like home.

Every session reflects the same values that run through everything we do at The Neuro Nest: neurodivergent-affirming, strengths-based, and relational.

Masking isn't expected. You don't need to perform wellness.
You just need to show up as you are.
